Whop is pushing hard into ecommerce, and the checkout is a big part of why. Beyond cards, Whop supports a long list of wallets, bank methods and financing providers, most of which show up automatically. More ways to pay means fewer buyers dropping off at the last step.
This guide lists what Whop actually supports today, according to its own docs, and how to get the most out of each option.
Cards and digital wallets
Cards are the default. Whop's standard rate for a domestic card is 2.7% + $0.30, with extra fees for international cards and currency conversion. See our Whop fees and payouts breakdown for the full math.
Apple Pay and Google Pay work on Whop-hosted checkout pages out of the box. If you embed Whop checkout on your own site, you need to verify your domain for Apple Pay by hosting a verification file and registering the domain with Whop. We walk through that in Whop checkout on GoHighLevel or your own site.
Local payment methods
Whop shows local methods automatically based on the buyer's location (by IP), the checkout currency, the price and whether the plan is one-time or recurring. You can hide any method per checkout link. Fees below are from Whop's local payment methods page:
| Method | Where | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| US bank transfer (ACH) | US | 0.8%, capped at $5 |
| Cash App | US | 2.9% + $0.30 |
| PayPal | Global | 3.49% + $0.49 |
| Crypto | Global | 1.5% |
| EU bank transfers | EU | 1%, capped at €5 |
| SEPA Debit | EU | 1% + €0.30 |
| iDEAL | Netherlands and EU | 2.5% + €0.80 |
| Bancontact | Belgium and EU | 3.9% + €0.30 |
| Swish | Sweden | 0.60% + 3 SEK |
| MobilePay | Denmark, Finland | 0.60% + €0.20 |
| Vipps | Norway | 0.50% + €0.20 |
Two things to know. The buyer's location decides what they see, not yours, so a US seller still gets iDEAL for Dutch buyers. And many local methods only appear when the checkout is in the matching currency.
That is where adaptive pricing helps. Turn on "Accept local currency payments" on a checkout link and Whop shows the price in the buyer's currency and processes it domestically. Whop says this is free for sellers, replaces international card and FX fees with the domestic rate, and unlocks local methods such as iDEAL, SEPA and Klarna. It currently works for one-time payments only.

Buy now, pay later
Whop lists thirteen financing options, including Klarna, Afterpay (Clearpay in the UK), ClarityPay for larger monthly plans, Sezzle, Zip, Splitit, PayPal, Scalapay and regional providers such as Tamara, SeQura, Kueski and Addi. You get paid upfront and the provider handles repayment. Sezzle is the exception, with funds settling after 15 days.
Financing needs approval. Whop's requirements include a verified Whop Payments account, a dispute rate under 2% over 90 days, at least $30,000 processed from 10 or more customers in the last 90 days, and an eligible category. Gambling, trading signals, credit offers and adult content are not eligible. Financing is also the most expensive way to get paid on Whop: its fees page lists 15% for financing and 20% for ClarityPay No Interest, so price it in.
Crypto and PayPal payouts
If you want to receive money in crypto or PayPal, there is a catch: Whop only pays out to Coinbase when the buyer paid in crypto, and to PayPal when the buyer paid with PayPal. Crypto checkout also needs a one-time pricing plan.
Which methods should you turn on?
- Selling mostly in the US: cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, Cash App and ACH for bigger tickets.
- Selling into Europe: turn on adaptive pricing so iDEAL, SEPA and Bancontact appear.
- High-ticket coaching or courses: apply for financing once you meet the volume rule.
- Global digital products: add PayPal and crypto for buyers without a card that works internationally.
More methods, bigger orders
Every extra payment method gets more buyers through checkout. The next step is getting more from each buyer once they are there. With OneClick Upsell you can add order bumps and post-purchase one-click upsells that charge the same card or wallet without retyping anything. See how to add one-click upsells on Whop.
After the sale, email keeps buyers coming back. Our sister product WhopMail can start a flow on Whop events such as a failed payment, so a declined card or expired wallet does not quietly cost you a member. See Whop failed payments and cancellations.
