Whop + Shopify Integration: Route Shopify Checkout Through Whop

Updated November 6, 2026

This guide explains how to sell through Whop checkout while you keep your Shopify storefront. It covers what changes, what stays the same, setup in about 10 to 15 minutes, and common questions.

Quick start: want the product page? See OneClick for Shopify.

Why you do not see Whop in Shopify payment settings

Whop is not listed as a Shopify Payments provider inside Shopify Admin. Instead, OneClick Upsell routes your store's checkout through Whop. Shoppers still browse your theme and add to cart on Shopify. When they check out or click Buy now, your cart, drawer, /checkout and Buy now hand off to Whop checkout tied to your Whop company. After payment, the paid order is synced back to Shopify so fulfillment stays in your normal flow.

If you want a quick look before you change anything, see the Shopify setup page.

What stays on Shopify

  • Your online store theme and product pages
  • Product catalog, variants and collections
  • Cart contents before checkout
  • Automatic discounts and line item discounts
  • Orders and line items after payment, for fulfillment in Shopify Admin
  • Your existing customer service and fulfillment tools in Shopify

What moves to Whop

  • Payment processing for checkout
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay buttons where supported, plus PayPal and cards
  • Post purchase one click upsells, downsells and order bumps on the same payment method
  • Subscriptions and renewals are billed by Whop
  • Payout timing and methods follow Whop's schedule and rules. See Whop fees and payouts
  • Shipment tracking syncs to Whop; refunds started in Shopify refund the Whop payment

Shop Pay is not available in this setup because checkout runs on Whop.

Step by step flow

  1. Shoppers browse and add to cart on your Shopify store as usual.
  2. On checkout or Buy now, your cart, drawer and /checkout hand off to Whop checkout tied to your Whop company.
  3. Whop processes the payment. Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and cards are available based on device and settings.
  4. The paid order and line items are created back in Shopify.
  5. Optional upsells, downsells and order bumps run on the same card or wallet with one click.

What you need

  • An active Shopify store
  • A Whop company that will receive payouts
  • The OneClick Upsell app installed on that company
  • About 10 to 15 minutes for the in app Shopify connect flow

You do not need to paste scripts into theme files for the basic install. Connection and go live happen inside the app.

Setup in 10 to 15 minutes

  1. Install OneClick Upsell on Whop and add it to your company.
  2. Open the Shopify tab in the app and start Connect store.
  3. In Shopify Admin, create or authorize the custom app with the permissions listed by onboarding.
  4. Connect your Whop company so checkout and payouts use the right account.
  5. Attach a funnel or create one, then turn the integration on when status shows ready.
  6. Place a test order from a product page or cart and confirm it appears in Shopify and in the app's live feed.

Honest caveats

  • Shop Pay is not available. Wallets are Apple Pay and Google Pay through Whop, plus PayPal and cards.
  • Some Shopify checkout apps depend on Shopify Payments. They may not apply after you move checkout to Whop. If you need upsells after payment, use OneClick so the charge is on the same method.
  • Confirm how synced orders appear on your Shopify invoice for your plan. Do not assume there are never any Shopify fees. Check your bill and Shopify's current terms.
  • Analytics and pixels need a small review. Use Meta Pixel and Conversions API with matching event IDs so ads count once with the right value.
  • Subscriptions are billed by Whop. If you used subscription apps that require Shopify Payments, plan your migration.
